Dimensions:
This beautiful, long-lasting daybed can be ordered with a mattress for the main bed, as well as a trundle with mattress to tuck underneath. A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com's optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated to the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform a twin-size daybed into a king-size bed.
Optional mattress is the Orthopedic Back Aid Mattress. This quality mattress features a Sta-rite quilted cotton/polyester pad and a patented Aerolife bonded cotton pad made with high-performance fibers that extend the life of the mattress. Rolled inner spring coils take the pressure off your back, while a Damask quilted layer on one side enhances your comfort. Twin size measures 75L x 39W x 7.5H inches. Carries a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

This is a beautiful bed, assembled easily, and is very sturdy. I give it four stars because of a slight design flaw and a minor packing snafu. The height of the backboard is too skimpy to allow placing the mattress spring platform in a middle or low position. Doing so leaves a gap between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the backboard. Also, the manufacturer provided only half the number of rubber washers required to protect the four posts when attaching the spring platform to the bed posts.
Hayneedle was fabulous to deal with - very friendly and helpful customer service folks, prompt shipping, and excellent tracking communications. I will definitely buy from them again.

I purchased this for a guest room with the linkspring (to rest the mattress on). With two of us, it still took a lot of time and energy to assemble it all. It seems like it will last a very long time, it's solidly built and solid wood. I bought the Antique White finish, which is a creamy white color, but to make it look antique they put these ugly Frankensteinlike scars at various spots on the wood...some day I will probably try and minimize them some. There were no extra washers and we dropped one down the floor register! I might recommend this furniture to someone as long as they are prepared for the finish and have someone strong with patience to help them assemble it.
