The look and design of this beautiful bed are perfect for my small space and preference for a hard sleeping surface. It is very lustrous and better looking in person than pictured. I was able to assemble it alone, with a drill and a hex key socket wrench (go get these tools before attempting assembly!). Some help would have made the job easier; it took me 2.5 hrs alone. Really like the padded low-profile head and side boards. These can be put on either side. The quality is great, and I wish I could get a thank you note to the people who made my bed! It is just lovely.

I was leary of buying this sight unseen, but it fit all of my requirements, (platform base, mattress recessed into the frame and back and side supports for lounging), so I decided to take a chance. I am soooo glad that I did! This is not just a bed, it is a gorgeous piece of furniture, (solid construction and the wood is simply beautiful). A convenient benefit of the lovely design is that it allows you easy access to all four corners of the bed making putting linens on a snap. Another totally unexpected surprise was the fact that you can put the side and back supports on either end when assembling, (they told me by phone that they could only be put on one end), a great option. Exceptional product[...].
