Description

A combination of colonial sleigh and Mission design, the Dorchester Daybed-Brown Cherry-Free Roll Out Trundle borrows inspiration from a variety of sources. Pennsylvania Dutch workmanship and Mission-style slats give this daybed its versatile, please-everyone design. Finished in a lush brown-cherry finish, it'll work in any room - eclectic or traditional. Just dress it up in your favorite bedding ensemble to give it your personal design touch. Made of solid pine, this sturdy daybed has an arm height of 30 inches. Clearance underneath the bed is 14-16 inches, depending on the alignment holes used. The recommended weight for the included daybed support system is 200-250 pounds. Some assembly required. A free roll-out trundle is included to provide extra sleeping space for guests or children. Mattresses are not included.

Beautiful solid cherry wood with a sturdy support system. I did not have any issues putting the bed together. Maybe I had better instructions than some of the other people who had issues. I was able to put the bed together while only glancing at the instructions. My only issue was that one of the washers was missing. There was a hole in the bag and some parts were loose in the box. No big deal though.

I cannot comment on the quality of the mattress since I did not use it. Looks okay, but I already had another one that seems to be of better quality.

I have bought the bed for my guest room, which will also double for a small couch. This bed is very nice looking unfortunately there were some problems with the assembly. First, I had to wait two weeks from when the first part to arrive, the mattress, until all the other peices arrived. Once all four pieces had arrived, I found that there were no instructions for how to put the thing together. Next issue was that four of the eight nuts and five of the eight bolts where missing from the spings. There was a hole in the bag that was just taped to the inside of the cardboard that was only on the ends of the springs when shipped. So I ended up going to [@] find the missing parts which are not the same and not sure if it will work in the long run. Next problem is after attatching the sides and the springs together, I found it difficult to add the back. I took one side of the springs off to add the back and then had to work at getting the springs reattatched. Again, instructions would have been very helpful with the assembly of the bed.

Will use this for the pop up trundle bed we ordered. Mostly kids will be using so should be OK but otherwise not very comfortable.

Day bed is pretty and appears to be of good quality. The suspension deck system is of good quality. The free mattress is not really a mattress but more of a pad. Very disappointed in it.

I love this day bed frame, handsome and stylish, perfect for our way of life. Has a lovely finish and is quite sturdy and feels elegant in my guess room for an extra guest bed bit also just to sit in the sun.

I bought the daybed as a primary bed for my 7-year-old. It is attractive and functional. My daughter was very pleased.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was delayed but arrived in adequate condition. The exception, was the packaging on bed spring was not sufficient and it appeared to have been mishandled during delivery.
