The sides and back are solid slats of wood with rounded wood finials finishing off each post. The wooden slat support system is 15 inches from the floor.
This daybed is available with an optional trundle drawer that can be used for storage or can hold a twin mattress for additional sleeping space. The trundle can accommodate up to an 8-inch-thick mattress. It rolls out easily on casters but does not pop up.

These optional twin mattresses are crafted from 100% synthetic materials and feature a comfortable quilted exterior. The Sta-rite inner quilted cotton pad offers extra comfort, and a rolled innerspring with 288 coils provides medium-firm support. The cover is smooth with a single taped edge. Mattress measures: 74L x 38W x 6.75H inches. Ideal as twin or daybed.
