A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. This optional trundle package includes a metal, pop-up-style trundle. It can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin-size daybed into a king-size bed.
This quality mattress features a Sta-rite quilted cotton/polyester pad and a patented Aerolife bonded cotton pad made with high-performance fibers that extend the life of the mattress. Rolled inner spring coils take the pressure off your back, while a Damask quilted layer on one side enhances your comfort. Twin size measures 75L x 39W x 7.5H inches. Carries a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

This daybed was even nicer than I expected. I was able to assemble by myself, though I had my husband tighten all the fittings. It looks great and with the trundle will make a nice king size bed for guests. Very happy with my purchase.

When one spends more than $600 for a purchase such as this daybed, it is reasonable to expect that the product will arrive on time and will be well protected. In fact, the shipping company modified the delivery multiple times which caused us to have to reschedule people multiple times so that someone could stay at home waiting for a 4-hour delivery window in order to sign for the items. Then, when the daybed finally arrived, we were shocked to see that the trundle and the primary link spring were scratched and potentially damaged due to totally inadequate packaging. In fact, neither item was protected by anything other than a piece of cardboard on just one end of one of the frames. It looked as if someone had just thrown the purchase on a truck and sent it on its way. There is definitely poor quality control when it comes to all aspects of the delivery process.

My granddaughters (8 & 5 years old) were so excited to see their new tundle bed. It looked great in their pink/purple room. I bought the mattresses locally but the bed arrived in excellent shape - very prompt & courteous trucking company. I would definitely order again from Hayneedle Store. Only thing definitely need to state the maximum thickness of the mattress for trundle bed.
