Crafted of durable metal with a rich Antique Pewter finish, this daybed is perfect for a guest room, dorm room, or anyplace you'd like sleek style and multifaceted function. Clearance underneath the Milano Daybed is 14-16 inches, depending on the alignment holes used. The clearance is large enough to store the optional trundle underneath. The recommended weight for either the link spring or optional trundle is 200-250 pounds. A daybed support system is included. Under-bed height from floor: 15 inches. Add a daybed cover for a crisp, clean look any time. Some assembly required. Note: Trundle and mattress are both optional and not included with the basic set. To include, select in the Value Package field.
A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com's optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin-size daybed into a king -size bed.
Optional mattress is the Orthopedic Back Aid Mattress. This quality mattress features a Sta-rite quilted cotton/polyester pad and a patented Aerolife bonded cotton pad made with high-performance fibers that extend the life of the mattress. Rolled inner spring coils take the pressure off your back, while a Damask quilted layer on one side enhances your comfort. Twin size measures 75L x 39W x 7.5H inches. Carries a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

The daybed in very classy looking. The pewter finish goes great with all colors or wood types. We fixed up a room to use as a guest room and with the additon of the daybed, the room looks great. We also purchased the pop up trundle, which give us an additional bed with taking up space when not in use. When the grandchildren come to have a sleep over, they now will have their own bed.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this daybed as a Christmas present for my 16 year old granddaughter. Her parents put it together and had it set up in her room when she came home from ballgame on Fridy night. She loves it! "Granny" is very pleased with the quality of this product and the timeliness of the shipment.

We bought this for use as a guest bed. I've not purchased many furniture items from the internet, but this one was just as pictured and went together very easily. For those who might wonder if the trundle unit actually fits under this bed with a standard size twin mattress, it does!
