The distinguished character of the Caroline Daybed fuses structure and style with architecture and art, making a daybed fit for royalty. With a distinctive scrolled design and characteristic finials, this daybed will add elegance and style to your room. The sleek metal frame has a protective lacquer coating that will prevent chipping and discoloration. Flint and bright white finishes are available.
For a great space-saving option to accommodate extra overnight guests, the Caroline Daybed includes an optional pop-up trundle, which allows an extra twin-size mattress to pop up next to the daybed. This turns this standard twin-size daybed into a king-size bed. For easy storage, the trundle bed conveniently stows underneath the daybed when not in use. Please note that two mattresses will need to be purchased for the Caroline Daybed, one for the daybed and one for the trundle.
A trundle is an extra mattress frame stored beneath a daybed, which slides out to provide additional sleeping space when needed. Daybeds.com's optional trundle packages include a metal, pop-up trundle. They can be left in the lowered position or elevated in the pop-up position to align with the primary daybed mattress. The pop-up feature allows the daybed to transform from a twin-size daybed into a king-size bed.
This quality mattress features a Sta-rite quilted cotton/polyester pad and a patented Aerolife bonded cotton pad made with high-performance fibers that extend the life of the mattress. Rolled inner spring coils take the pressure off your back, while a Damask quilted layer on one side enhances your comfort. Twin size measures 75L x 39W x 7.5H inches. Carries a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
Creating a king-size bed out of a daybed and a pop-up trundle is easy, and with the Create-A-King mattress connector, it will be so comfortable you'll never know it comprises two twin mattresses. The Create-A-King mattress connector is available for purchase in the shopping cart.

We bought the bed for our 4 year old daughter. This is her transition into a big girl bed. She/we love the bed! The design is very pretty. It did take 2 people to put together. Even though its metal, it does scratch easy, so be careful when assembling. The free mattress is pretty thin and will probably have to be replaced after a year or so. All in all, the bed is sturdy and pretty which is what we were looking for.

Comments about Fashion Bed Group Caroline Daybed:
Bought this daybed with the trundle without the mattress. The bed appears to be sturdy. Make sure when assembling the side panels you pay attention to the right and left sides. It would be helpful if there were stickers to designate the sides.

Comments about Fashion Bed Group Caroline Daybed:
We bought this for my 2-year-old daughter's first "big girl bed." The mattress sits a little high but she is still able to get in and out with little problem. Her room is not that big so this bed fits perfectly.

Comments about Fashion Bed Group Caroline Daybed:
The mattress for this daybed is about four inches thick and came folded in a box, this couldn't be comfortable for anyone to sleep on. The frame is not sturdy even though all screws are as tight as possible.

Comments about Fashion Bed Group Caroline Daybed:
It was easy to assemble - my 15 year old son did it.
Depending on who will be using it, you may need a thicker mattess than the free one I received with the bed.
