Crafted from cast zinc, the bed frame has an ornate Victorian style enriched by a flowing Bactrian Camelback design (with two humps). It has elaborate scrollwork on each arm which spouts from a single large zinc casting secured to the bottom rail. The scrolls on the back start at the base of the center spine and splay outward. The simple posts consist of 1.5-inch straight tubes capped with understated round finials and supported by oval casted feet. The Cameron daybed's Tarnished Copper finish is a multi-step hand-applied finish composed of a brownish-maroon base, flecked with gold, glazed with black, highlighted with dusty blue, and encased in lacquer.
