This modern full-size daybed makes a welcome centerpiece for your guest room, but it can just as easily inspire mind-rejuvenating naps in your den or office. Subtle cottage-style elements enhance the simple design, including rounded post finials and beadboard sides and back made of solid slats of wood. A rich, durable finish covers the sturdy all-wood frame, giving the daybed a stylish appearance to match its reliable construction. Classic black finish for a rich dramatic look.
Available only at Hayneedle, this exclusive full daybed comes with an optional twin-sized roll-out trundle drawer. Use it empty as a spacious storage drawer, or put up to an 8-inch-thick mattress inside to accommodate your growing family or overnight guests. (Trundle does not pop up.) With or without the trundle, your mattress will rest securely on the included wooden slat support system, which is positioned 15 inches above the floor. Assembly required. Ships via common carrier.
Completing the collection is a lineup of clean-lined, coordinating pieces. Choose from the following optional bedroom furniture pieces: a desk, a media chest, a nightstand, and a vanity. The desk has two drawers, the media chest has four drawers and two shelves, the nightstand has one drawer, and the vanity has two drawers. All items are crafted from sturdy wood and finished in black.

This is exactly how assembly based furniture should be. The design of the bed is beautiful and, when completed, it sits well, is incredibly sturdy and, frankly, a beautiful piece for my daughter's bedroom.
Why is this the best ever? Here's why:
1. The bed, front, sides, back etc are complete HARDWOOD. Solid, sturdy, and very nicely finished
2. Much of the bed is actually pre-installed making the assembly strongly intuitive and very simple. I used the enclosed hex wrench and a simple screwdriver... period
3. The instructions are simple, intuitive, and extremely helpful.
4. Technically, the bed is very well designed and ensures the accompanying trundle fits like it's meant to be there.
5. All the joints, trusses, etc, are not only screwed in but they are also glued with an industrial epoxy that ensures this is truly a strong and effective piece of furniture
6. The holes for the screws used for assembly are predrilled and contain seperate metal nut slots. It is done with a very strong level of precision further ensuring the bed itself will be very solid when complete. Similary, the screws themselves are 2 inches are length, again, ensuring there is plentay of "fastenability" for the item.
7. There are only 2 kinds of screws, the 2" hex screws and 1/4" or so philips head screws used for finishing. Everything about this bed is standardized so you get the hang of things quickly.
8. The finish appears to have multiple coats and is very consistent and smooth.
9. The system used to support the mattress is full hardwood slats with a "fabric" like connector creating a single unit. Very simple to assemble and it creates a wonderful foundation for the mattress
10. And finally, I bought the accompanying trestle and, guess what, same solid construction and same approach to assembly... I didn't even need instructions to put that piece toether although they were very clear and easy to understand.
I rarely write such a glowing review, let along the this length. I am doing so because I really needed a high quality day bed and I wasn't sure if this would be it. For the price, I had high expectatins... REAL furniture expectations and this Casey Day Bed did NOT dissapoint!
My daughter used it last night and said it was extremel comfortable. I would not hesistate to buy this or another product from Casey in the future.
Hope this helps others who are trying to figure out if this bed can really deliver... it can!

My teen daughter wanted a larger bed to fit into her relatively small room, so this was a perfect fit for her as there are not many full size daybed alternatives. The bed is very attractive in black but not available anywhere in that color so we had to order white. THe rather large bolts used to construct the bed did not come with any kind of plug or cover giving it an unfinished look, but other than that and a couple of other minor manufacturing flaws we ar pleased with the overall construction.

Bought this in white as my daughter's first "big girl" bed. It's simple, lovely, easy to assemble & sturdy. The mattress is supported by a series of slats that are connected by nylon webbing. We put a "bunkie board" on top of the slats to give extra support to the organic foam mattress we bought to replace the free inner spring mattress that came with the bed (we put that one in the trundle for now). The trundle rolls smoothly even on our carpet which was a relief.
Originally one of the major pieces (the back panel) came warped and splintered. Hayneedle customer support was a great help and was able to ship out a replacement immediately. It was a bummer to wait since we had already disassembled out daughter's toddler bed, so she was stuck on her toddler mattress on the floor for a week, but it worked out fine. You may be wondering why I would still give the bed a 5-Star rating when a piece came in such bad shape, but it really looked like somehow the piece must have been damaged by moisture or something in warehouse storage - the replacement piece came perfect and we've been using the bed for over 6 months now with no indication that this bed will not last until my daughter is grown.

I had an awesome experience with hayneedle in regards to their product, price, processing and customer service. I've enjoyed my purchase and would definitely purchase from them again. Their delivery service, which is contracted out, leaves little to be desired. Very unprofessional and rude. Also it would have been nice if the delivery people were not senior citizens and could lift more than me, very disappointing to end a great purchase with bad delivery service.

We love this bed, especially since it is a daybed that is a FULL size! All other full-sized bed we have found that layed out the same do not have headboard support for your pillow. This bed is built nicely and easy to assemble. It probably took us 1.5 hours to assemble. The finish is nice and smooth and looks very durable and elegant. It does not look cheap. It is very sturdy. Our daughter loves it and so do we. Perfect for a guest room as well.

Husband & I ordered from Hayneedle because we couldn't find a full size daybed anywhere but here. I was looking for a bright white but I knew ahead of ordering that it was a soft, almost cream white. It was very easy to put together. This mom assembled it in just over an hour- all by myself! Instructions were simple. Mattress is coming tomorrow so hopefully it fits well.
