Daybed Trundles

A trundle bed is a bed that either rolls out or pops-up and is stored underneath another bed. Trundles offer the extra sleeping area you need without the space an extra bed takes up. A trundle bed is great because it doesn't take up any extra space while not in use.

When you have relatives or friends over for sleepovers there is usually never a comfortable spot for them to sleep. You don't want your guest to have to sleep on the floor, and sharing a bed is often a bit tight. A great option is to have a trundle daybed. It fits nicely under the bed and can be easily pulled out whenever the occasion calls for more sleeping area. It's always a good idea to have the mattress ready with clean linens and blankets, so that you're prepared for any visitors!

Daybed Trundle Styles
There are several varieties of daybed trundles. Many are familiar with the ever so popular metal framed pop-up trundle. There are wheels attached to a frame and you simply pull it out from under the daybed. Most often there is a latch located underneath the trundle which when released pops the bed up to a regular bed height. When not in use this styles simply collapses down and rolls under the main bed where it is out of sight.

Another option is a daybed trundle that is similar to the pop-up, but doesn't come up off of the floor. It is also a metal frame with wheels attached to the underside. It's an easy way to store an extra mattress under the bed.

Another style of trundle is constructed of a wooden frame and is meant to be a little nicer looking than the traditional metal trundle. It is simply a wooden frame with wheels attached to the bottom. This style of trundles does not come up off of the floor as the trundle mentioned previously.
