Daybeds require a twin size mattress, so selecting sheets and mattress pads for them is a straightforward process. Choosing how to "spruce up" your daybed can be a bit more challenging, because sizes and styles of daybed covers can vary.

There are
daybed covers, typically having three sides (two sides and the front), as well as daybed spreads which typically have four sides. The "drop" of a daybed cover - how far down to the floor the cover reaches - will determine if you need a dust ruffle, which is also known as a bed skirt. A twin 14' dust ruffle is all that a
daybed really requires, though some feature split corners to make navigating around the bed feet easier.
Daybeds pillows are covered by shams when not being used. Most people will use either three standard pillows or else two king size pillows on their daybed. Since there is no "standard size," bear in mind that the main intent is to simply cover a twin size bed.
